User Test

To stage a user test an interactive and dynamic visualization of the HLADEKA system will be presented to current "Acting Participants" and three individuals not involved with the system. The objective of user testing is to determine the effectiveness of a dynamic interface to articulate HLADEKA and if the “Acting Participants” may incorporate this into the their process as a toolset for character development.

The second objective is to define and clarify key terms such as but not limited to:

Actor

Acting Participant

Alter-Ego Bending

Anonymity

Director

Character

Cyber Social Network

Real Life

Persona

A questionnaire will be presented to those tested to conclude user testing.

Peer Review

J
oseph Hladek athored the below Peer Reviews for fellow classmates:

Justyna Kayron

Justyna is producing a 15min short animation exposing the challenges and discourse of collage students in various scenarios from heartbreak, partying, dorm mates, and the classroom during their first years in school. The animation takes ques from a survivor guide hand book tool incorporating comedic dialogue and situations that are absurd and entertaining to the viewer such as that found in 1950’s Nuclear Attack Protocol and 1970s Drivers Educational films and in narrative form. Justyna has completed a script and is moving forward with the storyboard.

It is vital that she completes the ladder in the form of 5x3 index cards to have content that may be arranged and rearranged to organize the chain of events taking place to make it engaging, and entertaining for the viewer and establish a time line for the narrator too follow. The animatic will also proof to be a strong tool in production of recording voice-overs, scheduling time-line, and recruiting talent. Justyna should do the following: complete script, produce animatic, establish talent, create a production schedule, and start recording voice-overs.

Her strengths lie in her persistence in concept and grasp of subject matter and the ability in the medium of animation. Her challenges will be in the planning and developing an animatic, allowing adequate time for production, and producing content that may be user tested on selected viewers for feedback. I am confident that Justyna will be able to assert herself and prevail over these challenges.

Adam Nwgen

Although Adam does not have a well-developed concept he has a general idea for his thesis that needs to be realized with in the next week. First glance he appears to not want to incorporate technology into his work. This will create a challenge for Adam as far as how he will justify a viable thesis as a student enrolled in the Design and Technology Dept.

My impression is that he would like to produce “The Garden of Forking Paths” style nonlinear textual and pictorial based narrative taking content from various sources such as the web, photography, and found artifacts. Adam should think outside of the box and take advantage of available technologies as to how he will execute his thesis.
